PACCON 2027 will be jointly hosted by Suan Dusit University and the Department of Science Service (DSS), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), from February 11–13, 2027, at the Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok, Thailand.

It highlights the vital role of chemistry in advancing human health, extending healthy life expectancy, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing overall quality of life. The significant challenges of the 21^st century — ranging from climate change and aging populations to food security, public health, and sustainable development — are at once profoundly complex and inextricably interconnected. Meeting these global imperatives demands a fundamental shift in perspective, for no single discipline can address them in isolation.

Since ancient times, humanity has never ceased in its quest to achieve longevity. In antiquity, our primary struggle began with combating diseases simply for survival. As medical evolution advanced breakthroughs rapidly, human life expectancy increased significantly. Today, however, the world faces a major demographic shift as we transition globally into a "completely aged society." Consequently, the paradigm of public healthcare must shift from reactive "treatment" to proactive "prevention and wellness". Our ultimate goal is no longer just increasing the quantity of years (Lifespan), but extending the quality of those years spent in vibrant health (Healthspan)—a critical trajectory that the global community is actively pursuing..

Chemical science serves as a vital foundation and a powerful driving force for discovering new innovations that champion human well-being, ranging from designing molecular compounds for resilient physical health to developing safe, sustainable environments. Navigating this frontier stands as an exciting yet profound challenge for the new generation of scientists.
